The University of Queensland Hockey Club (UQHC) JUNIOR SECTION fields teams of boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 17/18 (School Age) of all skill levels. Whether you are an existing UQ player, new to the area or new to the game, played at school or are a representative player, we look forward to welcoming you to our fast growing, fun and inclusive junior club.

UQHC is located at the University of Queensland St Lucia Campus Field 4

The UQHC Juniors is part of the overall UQ Hockey Club which consists of Men’s, Women’s, Masters and Junior hockey teams.

UQHC fielded a total of 36 teams in competitions during the 2017 season and looks forward to welcoming existing and new players for the 2018 season.

Teams play in the Brisbane Hockey Association (BHA), Brisbane Women’s Hockey Association (BWHA) and Ipswich Hockey Association (IHA) competitions.

The UQHC Junior MPIO Sarah Dawson or any member of the Executive can sign this form for you.

UQHC requires all Executive members, Coaches and Managers working with children under 18 to hold a Blue Card.  If you are exempt (Doctor, teacher etc) you will still be required to provide us with an exemption certificate in order for us to ensure we meet our responsibility under the QLD and HQ Child Protection Policy.

UQHC understands Child Safety to be absolutely integral to how we function as a sports community.  Please see further policy relating to Child Safety under our policy tab.

Parking for training

Off peak permits can be purchased by staff, students, and visitors, and are valid after 3:45pm until 8am in the casual parking zones.
